While camping on Mount Princeton, I started a daily drawing practice, drawing grasses plein air, graphite on hand dyed paper. All of the grasses were growing in the little plot of land where I was camping. Even though it isn't a particularly grassy place, the variety of grasses is remarkable - and went mostly unnoticed by me until I started paying more attention to the ground around me. This daily ritual not only deepened my connection to the area, but solidified my impressions and memories of it.
