DATE: Victorian, c.1895

A superb antique memorial ring dating from the late 19^th Century. It’s finished in intricate black enamel work, including cross motifs and the words In Memory Of around the back of the band. The face is hinged, opening to reveal a square locket compartment with glass front. To the inner band is an inscription that simply reads: “Mother. 15^th Sep. 1895”

It’s modelled in 18 karat gold throughout, with a full set of Chester hallmarks.
